Les Fumeurs investigates the act of breathing. At the core of smoking is the action of inhaling and exhaling. The act of smoking appears to amplify respiration to a grave extreme. Ultimately it appears to me that the subjects of Les Fumeurs are in love with breathing but sadly their relationship is abusive.
